It is admirably adapted for all culinary purposes and for ice-cream. Milk is the best and only natural food for infants. This condensed milk is superior for infants’ food and is preferable to even the purest uncondensed milk, being uaiform in quality, not liable to turn aour, and much easier to digest. Directions. To remove the milk from- the tin UBe a dry spoon. Leave the tin wide open. For puddings, custards, &c., add 4 to 5 parts of water to 1 of milk; if less water be added it may be used instead of cream. It is usually more convenient to dilute it with water for tea, coffee, and chocolate, in order to determine with more certainty the desired richness. For new-born infants add 14 parts of water. As the child grows older and stronger gradually add less water, but never less than 7 parts: nurses are inclined to add too little water. Prepare immediately before using.
