1929 - in his article on hand or machine made books he urged the use of up to date book design in the age of modem technol­og}". The article appeared under the title “Handgemachtes Buch und Maschinenbuch’’ in the Gutenberg Jahrbuch in Mainz. 1930 - in the same yearbook he gave an account on Kozma’s book art under the title “Ludwig Kozma als Buchkünstler” (Lud­wig Kozma the Book Artist). 1930 — in the book published on the anniversary of the Leipzig artist, Imre Kner greeted professor Hugo Steiner-Prag in an article with the title “Schaffende Kräfte in der Buchkunst der Gegenwart” (Creative forces in contemporary book art). 1931 - organized the Hungarian participation at the Paris Salon International du Livre d’Art. 1931 - the first leaflet of“Nyolc levél a reklámról” (Eight letters on advertising) appeared, in which he proved to be a pioneer of modem advertising and typography as well. 1932 - took part and organized Hungarian participation at the Leipzig exhibition “Goethe in der Buchkunst der Welt” (Goethe in the book art of the world). 1932 - three volumes of “Az örök Goethe” (Ethemal Goethe) came out, the finest Kner publication of classical typog­raphy. April 21, 1932 - the Magyar Műhely Szövetség, a society for promoting fine quality industrial products came into being with Imre Kner as vice-president. 1932 - gave significant advices and help to József Fitz with his work “Hess András, a budai ősnyomdász” (András Hess, a pioneering printer of Buda), printed at Gvoma. From Januar\T 6, 1933 on-he was in correspondence with Miklós Móricz, a statistician, later a manager of a printing house, brother of the writer Zsigmond Móricz. 201
