IDEGEN NYELVŰ ÖSSZEFOGLALÓK PATENT INFORMATION Summary In the flow of various types of scientific and technical information, patent information represents a special feature. The work offers a survey over this special field of information activities . Chapter I. Fundamental concepts, discusses partly the essential basic concepts of patent law, relevant to the subject matter /patent, application for patent, patent specification, kinds of patents introduced by the legal practice of other countries/, partly the definitions of some basic concepts of informatics /information institutions and agencies, special information, documentation/ which are deemed necessary to understand the material oontained. Chapter U. The state of patent information in Hungary, outlines the history of patent information started with the patents act coming into force in 1895. The specifications and drawings of granted patents have been published in "Szabadalmi Közlöny és Védjegyértesítő" /Bulletin of Patents and Trade Marks/ for 77 years. Since in other countries, too, by industrial property offices are published similar bulletins and are printed patent specifications, their totality, along with the Hungarian material, forms the basis of patent information. The work gives a detailed account of patent bulletins and specifications published in other countries. These patent documents are to be found and made available for use to all in the Patent Library of the National Office for Inventions. In Hungary, the National Office for Inventions is a government agency which has long been engaged in documentation and information activities in the field of the protection of industrial property, too.
