31. May attentive men take heed in every case to enter into the register every trouble, lest such should occur: (in the case of) an adult man or woman the date of death and the (burial) place of the deceased, (and) who was buried to the right and who was buried to the left, so that if someone else comes to participate in visiting the grave, he should find the place he is seeking. 32. (In the case of) all troubles, lest such should occur, the elder in person is obliged to be present at the ritual bathing of the deceased, and to take heed that all is in order in every regard, as is necessary with the washing and dressing, and to be able to take heed to the pillow, the sheets and the shirt, which occasionally remain there until they are found. 33. For all troubles, lest such should occur, no-one should deal with them who is not a member of the Holy Association, unless authorised to do so by the elder. 34. Should, God forbid, someone die who is one of the guests, whose capacity does not enable him to be buried, then let all costs which would devolve on him be replenished by the leaders from the charity (fund), (and) one third part from the treasury of the community of faith. 35. Should the deceased, God forbid, have no son to say kaddish (funeral prayer) after him, let the elder designate a scribe, and pay him from the treasury of the community of faith, so he can study a chapter from the Mishnah every day in the interest of his soul, and let them say kaddish after him. 36. Whoever is not a member of the Association, if he lives outside the settlement, must only pay 40 pence. If someone does not want to pay, he is to be admonished three times, and then his page cut out (from the registry). 37. Whoever is prompted by his heart to join with the members of the Holy Association, to be an underage nominated member of the association, let him give four gold coins (crowns), and then he will be a member for three years. 38. If an opportunity arises for the members of the Holy Association to present their sons to the Holy Association, for them to enter into service, (they must pay) 18 pence for them, and if they are still underage, for them to stand guard, their father is obliged to stand in the gap for them in the service. 39. All members of the Holy Association, so long as they are underage, until the age of 13, are not obliged to give more than 18 figs (=pence). 40. Each time when the members of the Holy Association assemble with regard to a certain matter, which is necessary for the Holy Association, no member of the Holy Association may withdraw himself, so that he does not come along. 41. And everyone who does not come along to the Holy Association must pay 18 pence, unless (it was) because of an emergency (situation) that he could not come along. 42. Whoever has had a Jahrzeit (anniversary of death), or would like to observe the (commemorative funeral prayer beginning) "Merciful God" on another occasion, must pay six pence to the Holy Association. These 42 regulations are in accordance with (those) 42 names (= points), which we have carried over from the register of the Holy Association of the Kalló (= Nagykálló) holy congregation, and they have borne witness that these regulations were carried over from the register of the Král (= Nagykároly) holy congregation, and they practise (the customs) as is usual in the capital city of Altofen (= Óbuda). And the customs of Israel are holy law, above all (for that) congregation which ordained them.
