Buda, 26 March 1789 56 Reporting on their opinion about the proposal submitted by Sándor Tolnay on strengthening the practical features of veterinary training the Council .of Governor-General discloses that some part of the proposal will be discussed only after having the professional opinion of the county health officers, but in the questions of setting up a stable for the treatment of different ani­mals in the institute and of creating an assis­tant's job they are not averse to placing a pro­posal into operation, provided it is not very expensive. In these latter questions a sugges­tion of the University is expected. 22. Buda, 22 April 1789 57 The Council of Governor-General regulates again the way of studying veterinary medicine of the students of medicine and surgery and reminds the Faculty of Medicine to duly observe the require­ments relating to the university examination in order to safeguard the scientific value of the diploma in medicine conferred by the University in Pest.
