Vienna, 8 November 1786 39 Resolution of Joseph II on the establishment of the veterinary department at the University of Pest and on Sándor Tolnay's appointment to the profes­sorship, in accordance with the motion of the Court's Educational Committee /the motion is dated from 27 September 1786/. 2. Buda, 12 December 1786 39 The Council of Governor-General informs the Univer­sity of establishing the veterinary department and of appointing Sándor Tolnay to the professorship, on the ordinance of the Chancellery. 3. Vienna, 3 January 1787 40 The Chancellery informs the Council of Governor­General of the further resolutions concerning the beginning of veterinary training and the acquisiton of the instruments necessary for the department. /The Council of Governor-General's relating order on the same subject is dated from 6 February 1787/. 4. Vienna, 3 January 1787 41 The Chancellery draws up the list of investments necessary for setting up the department in Pest according to the opinion of Wilhelm Wolstein, Pro­fessor of Veterinary Science in Vienna. 5. Buda, 14 March 1787 42 The Council of Governor-General forwards the re­port on the animal plague in Esztergom requesting an analyzed information.
