To sum up we may hope that the publication of ours will contribute to learn the early history of the two hundred year old University of Veterinary Science and will help the historical interest of the veterinary community in Hungary. At the same time we do hope that this volume will serve as an assistance to researchers engaged in the history of higher education and sciences, respectively.
