The Art relics of Székesfehérvár is one of his most significant works, which was published in 1930 in Hungarian Art. 14 It was published 1965-1989 as the newspaper of the Executive commit­tee's Cultural Department of Fejér county Council, then as the social, economical, cultural political paper of Fejér county Council. No. 65. 21 János Károly (Ráckeve, 22 April 1834 - Székesfehérvár, 16 January 1916). Ecclesiastical writer and historian. He studied theology in the seminary in Székesfehérvár from 1851. He studied humanities in the University of Pest. From 1 885 he was canon of Székesfehérvár and the director of the seminaiy, teacher of canon law an church history. Later he became a provost then a titular bishop. Between 1896 and 1904 his five-volume work The History of Fejér County was published. 22 János Károly: Hie History of Fejér County. Székesfehérvár, I. volume 1896, II. volume 1898, III. volume 1899, IV. volume 1901, V. volume 1904. 23 Gyula Lauschmann Dr (Székesfehérvár, 28 September 1861 - Székes­fehérvár, 8 October 1918) Physician and local historian. His pen names: Dr Aescuíáp, Dr Castor, Pollux, Idem, Julius. His father was József Lauschmann savings-bank clerk, his mother was Jozefa Feld. Having fi­nished the Cistercian grammar school he studied medicine. He gradua­ted as physician on 20 December 1884 at the University of Pest; for a while he worked in the capital first in Rókus Hospital, then in the Hos­pital on the Üllői Road. In November 1888 he returned to his native town, where he became a resident physician on 1 March 1889, then on 3 1 December 1900 the head physician of Saint George Hospital. Lord Lieutenant Viktor Széchenyi appointed him chief medical officer of Fe­jér county on 29 September 1908. While working as a medical officer he made great efforts to eliminate the cholera epidemic of 1910-11, for which he met not only county but also royal recognition. He actively participated in some humanitarian and health societies, the Society Against Tuberculosis was one of them; he was the society's se­cretary following its founding on 5 January 1905. He gained imperishable merit in reviving the historical and archaeological society and in foun­ding the Museum Society of Fejér county and Székesfehérvár in I 9 10. He was the secretary of the society, in this post he performed excellent work in collecting material and educational lectures.
