A SUMMARY OF THE HISTORY OF SZÉKESFEHÉRVÁR
the 19 th century; an elementary school was built in 1871. In the 1 930s the airport started to take shape, runways and hangars were built; the military construction was finished early in 1944. The peripheral settlement was attached to the administrative area of the town in 1988. Besides the settlements mentioned here there were some others in the Middle Ages that were destroyed.
