II. A magyarországi sörfőzés története
Sümegen, Tapolcán és Zalaszentgróton. A 20. század elején évi 7-8000 hektoliter sört forgalmaztak, ifj. Vencel pedig gróf Festetics Taszító után Keszthely második legmódosabb polgárává vált. Fia, Imre (1869-1938) is Csehországban tanulta a sörfőzést, majd Keszthelyen kamatoztatta tudását. 1912-ben őt is városbíróvá választották, 25 évig az jfj. Reischl Vencel portréja is maradt. Öccse, Richárd Portrait of Vencel Reischl, ír. (1876-1944?) 1920-tól nemzetgyűlési képviselő volt. 1944 után a család egyetlen férfitagja Imre fia, Reischl Marcel (1903-1998) volt, aki ügyvédként dolgozott, de apja halála után ő állt a sörgyár élére, amely ekkorra a kőbányai sörgyár lerakataként működött. A család ingatlanjait 1948-ban államosították, ő maga emigrált. A rendszerváltás után hazatért, 1998-ban Keszthely díszpolgárává választották. A család tagjai elismert városi képviselőkké és városvezetőkké váltak. his nephew, Vencel Reischl Jr. (18397-1923), who had come to join him from Moravia. Vencel Jr. had learned brewery in Budweis and Graz. In 1896 the brewery produced 3,230 hectolitres annually and it boasted subsidiaries in Sümeg, Tapolca and Zalaszengrót. In the early 20th century they produced 7-8,000 hectolitres of beer, and Vencel Jr. became the second wealthiest citizen in Keszthely: His son, Imre (1869-1938), also learned the brewery trade, and then went on to apply his knowledge locally. He, too, was elected town magistrate in 1912, a position he ended up holding for 25 years. His younger brother, Richárd (1876-1944?) served as an MP in the national parliament from 1920 on. After 1944, the family's only male descendant was Marcel Reischl (1903-1998), who initially worked as a lawyer. Upon the death of his father, however, he took over the brewery which at this point operated as a subsidiary of the Kőbánya Brewery. The real estate holdings of the family were nationalised in 1948, and Marcel Reischl himself emigrated. He came back after regime transition and was elected honorary citizen of Keszthely in 1998. As we can see, the history of this industrial and trading family is deeply intertwined with the history of their hometown Keszthely.
