Szemelvények, érdekességek a sörről
Kőbányai Polgári Sör. Plakát-naptár, 1934 Kőbánya Civil Beer. Poster/calendar, 1934 beletesszük a vízbe. HOW DO WE COOL OUR WEEKEND BEER? Rather simply, according to old Hungarian fashion. If we camp near a spring or a cool creek, then it's all rather easy because we just put it in the water to cool. However, when we camp somewhere where cold creek water is not to be found, we proceed in the following way: Let's dunk a piece of cloth into the water we carry on us, wring it and wrap it around the bottle making sure that it covers the entirety of the bottle, and then let's place it in the hottest sunlight. The water in the cloth will quickly evaporate while the bottle will cool rapidly following the laws of physics, which say that evaporation extracts heat. We must take care not to wait for the doth to dry out completely because then it will immediately heat up the bottle along with the beer in it. Alternatively, we can also dig a hole at the stump of a bush that offers a little shade. We soften the ground, place the beer bottles inside the hole and shovel the loose soil on top and sprinkle water on it several times. It would be mistaken to believe that beer must be ice cold. When it is too cold, real beer not only loses its flavour but it only gives us the cools without cooling us down. We can see it countless times, the carefully deliberate elderly gentlemen, who even in the heat of summer drink their beer at a properly cool temperature, and when it is too cold, they will let it stand on the table for a little while until it reaches the desired temperature. (Új Nemzedék, 28 June 1931) person in the eye. "Drink, brother!” - says the old Beer Fraternity, or Fraternal Beer, whatever its custom, and then raises the mug up to the height of his eyes, taps it on the table and then drinks. And if the entire company drinks at the same time, then everyone will stand up, raise the mug, tap it thrice on the table, drink, and everyone puts their mugs down at the same moment, tapping it once on the table before so doing.
