II. A magyarországi sörfőzés története
elismerést érdemelt. Én tudtam németül, és ez akkor nem volt divat, hogy a fiatal szakemberek nyelvet beszéljenek. És az osztrák kapcsolatok is elkezdtek élénkebbé válni, gyakorlatilag ezekre a tárgyalásokra odahívtak, mert én szakember voltam, és tudtam a nyelvet. Ez mind azt jelentette, hogy észrevették, hogy erre az emberre lehet építeni. Mikor a Borsodi Sörgyár építésére fönt kormánydöntés született, akkor a vezérigazgató szerette volna, ha elmegyek Borsodba, és ezt a gyárat megépítem, 1969-ben. Akkor nősültem és friss házasként én nem akartam elmenni. Az igazság az, hogy én nagyon jól éreztem magam Sopronban, de a friss házasságra hivatkoztam, hogy jön a gyerek és én itt akarok maradni. Sopronban nagyon jó baráti kör alakult ki, egy év után már muzsikáltam a soproni szimfonikus zenekarban, az hetente két esti próba volt. Mélyhegedűn játszom, brácsázok. Úgyhogy megvolt a kapcsolatom, megvolt a társaságom, vasárnaponként összeültünk négyen és kamarazenét játszottunk, tehát nem akartam elmenni. Ebben a frissen elvett feleségem is partner volt, mert mondta a vezérigazgatónak, hogy ő sem akar elmenni, őt ide köti a rokonság. Úgyhogy a vezérigazgató a második-harmadik próbálkozás után lemondott róla. Hence we were the ones who introduced plastic crates and the use of aluminium barrels. We were also the first to do enzyme-based brewery, we designed the relevant technology. This became necessary к because the capacity of the malt factory В was smaller. Because good beer is made of pure malt, starch \and hops\ without I surrogates. These days, corn appears as a surrogate. We came up with a technology, however, in which we managed to render the raw barley subject to processing through the use of artificially designed enzymes, and thus we could take a 60% malt and add a 40% malt to it, thereby mitigating the lack of production capacity in malt production. We managed to introduce many things there, and it appears that this was worthy of some recognition. And 1 spoke German already back in the time when it was not yet fashionable for young experts to speak languages. As our Austrian relationships also intensified substantially, they invited me to these talks because 1 was an expert and 1 knew the language. They essentially recognised: This is a man they can build on. When a governmental decision was taken about the construction of the Borsod Beer Factory, the executive director wanted me to go to Borsod and to build this factory in 1969. That's when 1 got married and as a newlywed 1 didn't want to go. The truth is that 1 had a great time in Sopron, so 1 invoked my recent wedding and said that the child was on the way and that 1 want to stay.
