The energetic female figure with the modern hairstyle and characteristic colours of István Bakos' 1969 advertisement for Orient mokka coffee heralds the female ideals of the Seventies. Sándor Lengyel's coffee-bean and African boy figures, set against a yellow background, are particularly charming in the advertisements for Omnia, Rio and Ali Baba roasted coffee. The Fonalkikészítőgyár (Cotton Manufacturing Company] promo­ted its products with F oki Ferkó. Pók ISpiderl, the predecessor of Aranypók, opened its first store on Rákóczi út in 1931. After natio­nalisation, it was rechristened Budapesti Harisnyagyár |Budapest Stocking Factory], then Artex, and in 1962 it was merged with Fővárosi Divatáru Kiskereskedelmi Vállalat IMunicipal Fashion Product Retail Company]. In 1973 it was renamed Aranypók Divatáru Kiskereskedelmi Vállalat IGoilden Spider Fashion Product Retail Company], and in 1982 Aranypók Kereskedelmi Vállalat (Golden Spider Trade Company], selling fashionable knitwear. 32
