Zsuzsa Gál describes the dramaturgical activity of the Institute, which involves reviewing and translating the most successful foreign dramas for the use of Hungarian theatres. Mrs. István Alexa and Mrs. Oszkár Bárd give us a glimpse of the work of the documentary section. Information concerning significant productions abroad, as well as photos, designs and all sort of pertinent material is collected in this section of the Institute. Judit Sz. Szántó gives an account of the publications of the Institute, which comprise the works of eminent theatrical authorities of the world. Judit Kónya surveys the lectures given by the members of the Institute, which strive to develop the good taste of the Hungarian audience. Mihály Cenner.in his article entitled Problems of Museums of the Theatre, describes the methods of collecting material and exhibiting them in special theatrical museums. - Károly Szakáts deals with the theory and practice of collection of data concerning theatre and describes the pertinent material in the Institute for Theatrical Science. - In another article, Géza Staud informs us about the connection between Hungarian science of the theatre and similar researches done abroad. The first decade of the activity in the Institute for Theatrical Science is presented in an article well supplied with graphs and figures. This is followed by a bibliography of special studies in theatrical art and science in Hungary /compiled by Géza Staud/ and a repertory of special Articles published in 1961 /compiled by Károly Szakáts/. 397
