FIRST SCENE (In Heaven. The Lord, in glory, on His throne. The host of Angels kneels. The four Archangels stand beside the throne. Radiant light.) THE ANGELIC CHOIR Glory to our Almighty God; we call Heaven and earth to pay Him reverence! With one Word only He created All, And on His glance their destiny depends. He is All-Power, Wisdom and Delight, We are but shadows of His gracious face; He lets us share His everlasting light — Let us adore Him for His endless grace! Now is embodied His eternal Thought; Behold, creation has become complete. The Lord expects all breathing creatures ought To bring their tribute to His holy feet!
