TORNAY KRISZTINA IDENTIFICAREA SFINTELOR DE PE BOLTA SANCTUARULUI BISERICII DIN ARMĂŞENI Rezumat Lucrarea analizează picturile în tehnica secco, aflate în sanctuarul reînnoit al Bisericii „Concepţiei Imaculate” din Armăşeni (Csíkmenaság), care reprezintă figurile a opt sfinte. Identificarea unora din ele s-a dovedit a fi problematică. Astfel, în urma cercetării frescei Sfânta Margareta, figura Sfintei Margareta din Scoţia s-a dovedit a fi cea a Sfintei Margareta din Antiohia. Pictura Sfânta Ecaterina o reprezintă, de fapt, pe Sfânta Ecaterina din Alexandria, şi nu pe Sfânta Ecaterina din Siena, iar cea a Sfintei Susana, foarte probabil, o înfăţişează pe Sfânta Susana de la Roma. Investigaţia cercetează în primul rând elementele reprezentării, atributele figurilor, dar analiza are în vedere şi analogii. Studiul se ocupă şi de figurile din pilda biblică a celor zece fecioare, descoperite recent, care ornamentează bolta bisericii. IDENTIFYING THE FEMALE SAINTS ON THE VAULT OF THE CHURCH FROM CSÍKMENASÁG (ARMĂŞENI) Abstract The present study analyses the seccos portraying female saints in the catholic church, Immaculate Conception, from Csíkmenaság, renovated in 2010. The identification of many of the unusually numerous (8) female saints in the vault is still pending. The image portraying Saint Margaret turned out to represent Saint Margaret the Virgin of Antioch, instead of Saint Margaret from Scotland. The painting of Saint Catherine is not of Saint Catherine of Siena, but Saint Catherine of Alexandria. Also, the image representing Saint Susanna is most probably that of Roman Saint Susanna. The study overviews mainly the elements of the murals, the attributes of the saints, but also uses analogies to draw conclusions. At the end of the paper, the 10 virgins from the parable are discussed, portrayed on the newly exposed triumphal arch. 364
