BALÁZSI DÉNES COOPERATIVE ÎN VALEA PÂRÂULUI GOAGIU ÎN ZONA CRISTURULUI SECUIESC ÎN PRIMA JUMĂTATE A SECOLULUI AL 20-LEA Rezumat Lucrarea este continuarea cercetărilor din Valea Homoroadelor (Homoród), publicate în studiul din 1995. Lucrarea „Cooperativele în valea Nicoului-Alb (Fehér-Nyikó) în prima jumătate a secolului al 20-lea” a fost publicată în Anuarul Muzeului Secuiesc al Ciucului din 2009- Studiul actual cuprinde Valea Goagiului (Gagy) şi a împrejurimea Cristurului Secuiesc (Székelykeresztúr), apoi va urma studierea zonei Tárnavei Mari (Nagy-Küküllő) de la Odorheiu-Secuiesc (Székelyudvarhely) până la Beteşti (Betfalva), şi a zonei subalpine la nord-est de Odorheiu- Secuiesc. Din punct de vedere administrativ, localitaţiile de pe Valea Goagiului, situate la nord-vest între Odorheiu-Secuiesc şi Cristuru-Secuiesc, sunt satele componente ale comunelor Avrămeşti (Szentábrahám), Secuieni (Újszékely) şi ale oraşului Cristuru-Secuiesc. Populaţia secuiască a ţinutului aparţine cultului romano-catolic, reformat si unitarian. Sunt prezentate documentele scrise încă existente în zonă, moştenirea construită, respectiv mărturia verbală a vârstnicilor, care atestă desfăşurarea cu succes a activităţii diferitelor forme de cooperaţie: cercul gospodarilor, cooperative de colectare a laptelui, cooperative de consum şi de credit. Autorul a strâns dovezi despre rolul economic favorabil al cooperativelor, dar acordă atenţie şi laturii umano-spirituale: datorită formelor de cooperaţie, avântul economic al ţinutului a fost dublat de înflorirea vieţii culturale. Spiritul cooperatist a dus la sensibilizarea socială a populaţiei, la adâncirea sentimentului de solidaritate şi la menţinerea ordinii obşteşti a satelor. Pe baza spiritului creştinesc de caritate, s-a opus utilitarismului necruţător, dictat de libera concurenţă de pe piaţa capitalistă, încercând să ofere protecţie individului grupat în colectivitate. COOPERATIVES IN THE VALLEY OF GOAGIU AND IN THE ENVIRONS OF CRISTURU SECUIESC IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE 20™ CENTURY Abstract This work is the sequel of the book published in 1995 about the researches in the valley of Homoród, and the study ‘Cooperatives in the valley of Nicoul Alb (Fehér-Nyikó) in the first half of the 20th century’ published in the annual of the Szekler Museum of Ciuc in 2009. ‘Cooperatives in the valley of Goagiu (Gagy) and the environs of Cristuru Secuiesc (Székelykersztúr)’ is ready for printing, but the last part - the valley of the Târnava Mare (Nagyküküllő), and the northern region of Odorheiu Secuiesc (Székelyudvarhely) - is still waiting for research. From the administrative point of view, the villages in the valley of the Goagiu, situated between Odorheiu Secuiesc and Cristuru Secuiesc are the component villages of Avrămeşti (Szentábrahám), Secuieni (Újszékely) and Cristuru Secuiesc. The Szekler population of the area follows the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Unitarian religions. The author presents the still existing written documents of the region, the built inheritance, as well as the verbal memoirs of the elders, which prove the successful development in the activity of the various forms of cooperations: milk-collecting cooperatives, societies of the farmers, consumption and credit. The author gathered proofs concerning the favourable economic influence of cooperatives, taking at the same time into consideration the human-spiritual aspects: thanks to the forms of cooperation, the economic prosperity of the region was followed by a bloom of the cultural life. The cooperative spirit increased the social sensibility of the population, deepened the solidarity and contributed to the maintenance of law and order of villages. Basing itself on the Christian charitable spirit, it opposed to the merciless utilitarianism of the capitalist free-market economy, by trying to offer a protection to the individuals organized in the community. 84
