Rom.: Cluj-Napoca) and they lead a unique lifestyle based on agriculture having their own traditions and institutions. At the beginning researchers were interested just in their traditional lifestyle, marriage and habits, dialect. This community managed to adapt to the way of living in a city but the effects of urbanization and the quick industrial growth slowly destroyed the place where they could keep up with their traditional living and as a consequence their lifestyle changed. This change was presented by László Pillich in a sociological work. Through all these economical and social changes it is important to research all the alterations that happen in the lifestyle of a community. This can be made by reflecting upon people’s everyday life. Edit Fél and Tamás Hoffer were the first who made relevant steps in showing us that researching everyday life is essential because only through this can we understand the way people think, act, how they live and build their own social web. A városok makrotársadalmában léteznek olyan gazdasági vagy (és) területi kisközösségek, amelyek sajátos, hagyományozottan elkülönülő életmóddal rendelkeznek. Ilyen közösséget alkot a kolozsvári Hóstát is. A hóstátiak jellegzetes városi rétegkultúrát képeznek, nemzedékek hosszú során át a városhoz tartozva, de nagyközösségében attól elkülönülve, azzal egyfajta állandó szimbiózisban élnek.1 1 PILLICH 2001, 337. 39
