A CSÍKI SZÉKELY MUZEUM ÉVKÖNYVÉ 2009 - II. 153-170 Mara Zsuzsanna HÁROMSZÁZÉVES TÖLGYFA TARTÓOSZLOP RESTAURÁLÁSA A MIKÓ-VÁRBAN Abstract: [Restoration of a three hundred years old pillar from the Mikó Castle - Miercurea Ciuc / Csíkszereda] According to our presumptions, the bearing pillar, which is situated in the north-west battlement of the Mikó Castle, dates back to the time the caste, first reconstructed in 1714-16, was built. The pillar, made of turkey oak (Quercus cerris), is 5.02 m high, with a cross-section of 43 x 27 cm. It is paved with wooden panels, 2.66 m high. This intervention is presumably the result of an extensive process of restoration, completed during the 1970s. During the first phase of restoration, we have eschewed this wooden pavement, to restore the surface of the pillar then, which underwent lots of mechanic changes, century by century. The surface has been cleaned with alternated mechanical and chemical methods. The greater lacks in the wooden substance of the pillar have been filled with identical material whereas in smaller holes we used wood putty. The chromatic integration was carried out using various mordant dyes and oil colours, with a final paraffin protective touch meant to consolidate the material and lend the wood a nice shine. As a result of the restoration, the pillar preserves its authentic look and fits in well with its architectural context. Rezumat: [Restaurarea unei coloane de trei suté de ani, in Cetatea Mikó - Miercurea Ciuc / Csíkszereda] Conform presupunerilor noastre, coloana portantä, situatä la etajul bastionului nord-vestic al Cetátii Mikó, este contemporanä cu cetatea reconstruitä pentru prima oarä in anii 1714-16. Coloana din lemn de cer (Quercus cerris) are inältimea de 5,02 m iar sectiunea de 43 x 27 cm. Este acoperitä cu panouri de lemn (lambriu) de 2,66 m, pänä la contraväntuire. Aceastä interventie ulterioarä se presupune a fi rezultatul unei renoväri ample din anii 1970. In prima fazä a restaurärii am eliminat acest lambriu, dupä care a urmat restaurarea suprafetei stälpului care a suferit degradäri mecanice de-a lungul secolelor. Suprafata a fost curátatá cu alternarea unor tehnici mecanice §i chimice. La completarea lipsurilor mari din suport s-a folosit lemn identic, iar pentru astuparea gäurilor mici am aplicat chit de lemn. Integrarea cromaticä s-a realizat cu diferite baituri ?i culori de ulei, apói a urmat peliculizarea de protectie a stälpului cu ajutorul unui amestec de parafinä, cu rol dublu de material de consolidare §i substantä menitä sä confere luciu lemnului. In urma restaurärii, coloana i§i pästreazä autenticitatea, integrändu-se perfect in anturajul arhitectural. 1. Történelmi háttér A tanulmány témáját képező tartóoszlop a Mikó-vár észak-nyugati bástyájának emeleti termében található, korát, feltételezéseink szerint az 1714-16-ban történt újraépítéssel egyidősnek gondoljuk. A Mikó-vár1 helyreállítása Stephan Steinville, akkori erdélyi császári haderő főparancsnokának a feladata volt. Az újjáépítés során, a Mikó Ferenc által épített vár nem maradt meg díszes, reneszánsz stílusú várkastélynak. Az 1661-es 1 1623-30 között építette Hídvégi Mikó Ferenc. Az első írásos dokumentum, a Deliberátum 1631-ből való, itt tesznek első ízben említést a vár létezéséről. 153
