SZABÓ ANDRÁS A MÍTOSZTEREMTŐ REMÉNY FELVILLANÁSA Abstract: [Expectations for creating a myth: Szopós Sándor] This text is associated with the rétrospectif exhibition in the december, 2000 where the public had occasion to see works of some artists creating in the 20 th century, among whom the Transylvanian painter SZOPÓS Sándor. The artist coming from Transylvania was the disciple of great Hungarian masters as Székely Bertalan, Réti István, Edvi Illés Aladár and Révész Imre, the big „sin" of whom was their nonconformist artistic attitude, for which the contemporaries deprived them of the professional recognition. Szopós followed the same way: although during his life he winned several prizes, the public opinion neglected and condemned him for a forgetting similar to the secular sleep of the Princess from tales. There are nevertheless encouraging signs of the artistic ressuscitation of Szopós Sándor. Recently appeared the monograph of the historian of arts MURÁDIN Jenő, in which the author expresses his enjoyment for the fact that there are chances that the artistic inheritance of the painter arrives at Târgu Mures (rom.) / Marosvásárhely (hung.) and by a succession of exhibitions this big painter may enter the pantheon of the recognized artists. The posteriority has only a single duty: although it is difficult to create myths after the death of the hero, the following generations have to become aware and respect real values. Rezumat: [Speranta creärii unui mit: Szopós Sándor ] Acest text este legat expozitia retrospective din luna decembrie 2000: publicul a putut vedea operele unor artisti care au creat în secolul al 20-lea, printre care si pictorul transilvánean SZOPÓS Sándor. Artistul plecat din Ardeal a fost discipolul unor mari maestri maghiari ca Székely Bertalan, Réti István, Edvi Illés Aladár si Révész Imre, al cáror marele lor „pácát" a fost atitudinea artisticä nonconformista, drept pentru care contemporanii i-au privat de recunoasterea profesionalá. Szopós a urmat celasi drum: deci ín timpul vietii a fost distins cu mai multe premii, opinia publica artisticä 1-a neglijat si 1-a condamnât la o uitare similarä somnului Frumoasei din pädurea adormitä. Exista însa semne încurajatoare aie reînvierii artistice a lui Szopós Sándor. Recent a apärut monográfia istoricului de arte MURÁDIN Jenő, ín care autorul îsi exprima bucuria pentru faptul cä exista sanse ca mostenirea artisticä a pictorului sä ajungä la Târgu Mures / Marosvásárhely (magh.), si ca prin expozitii repetate acest mare pictor sä intre în panteonul artistilor recunoscuti. Posterioritatea are o singurä datorie: desi e greu sä se creeze mituri dupä moartea eroului, generatiile viitoare trebuie sä constientizeze si sä respecte valorile adevärate. A közösségi tudat mindig mitikus. Ennek következtében elfogult, intoleráns, illetőleg alkalmanként hiányos, és mindig a valós megmérettetést megelőzően ítélkezik. Akkor is ez tapasztalható, ha az általános vállfaját, s esetenként akkor is, ha valamely szakterületi válfaját vizsgáljuk.
