gramme for these two points has been elaborated with the final purpose of finishing county topographies as a result of structured data not collected on the basis of publication. Another point of showing the values is a kind of inventory containing facts necessary to identify the monument, photos, the dating, stylistic identification, literature and evaluation of it and a proposal for the necessary work. These points can be supplemented with further ones if it is needed (e.g. in the case of gardens, organs, elements of the city scape). More detailed data are collected on the so called revision sheet to document facts concerning already protected monuments, but it is also used in the case of building worth protection, when a short description is made with the dated furnishings as well. Topographic research is carried on in an extended range programme according to territorial (Budapest, Vas, Veszprém, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén counties) and thematic (organ inventory, St. John of Nepomuk statues, garden inventory) order completed with an archival and bibliographic research. Several points were taken into consideration when forming the programme: finishing current research work, trying to use new methodology and financing ten fulltime and 15-20 part-time experts. The acceleration of topographic research is possible, but only with the necessary amount of trained experts, which is a long process as the knowledge is based on practical monument protection work beside academic education.
