MŰHELY - Morvay Endre: Parisiana, a poraiból feltámadt főnix
Art historical and iconographie work is not exact in the case of certain elements of the facade, as the work of Lajta was not „phantasy architecture" , but a strictly constructed work of architecture. The monkeys of the door entrance did not have a spiritual meaning, their existence has a profane cause. Turn of the century art like exotic motives and often used symbols of African origin. Lajta's all works are characterised by rational thinking, strict order and wellthought proportions. The greatest value of the Parisiana facade was that it preceded by sixteen years that style, which was first identified at the Paris World Expo of applied arts in 1925, and it got the name art deco. Lajta created a strict order for the placing of facade motifs, and for their size and proportion. The change of these proportions on the new facade can be stated at a glance to it. The facade of the theatre finished in 1990 is an independent work of architecture, with a diffèrent use of the facade motifs of Béla Lajta.
