at reaching naturalistic sunilarity without special intention of character-drawing. As a sculptor of ornament he often undertook common tasks with the Szandház-workshop. VASADI, FERENC (19. 9. 1848 - Budapest, 12. 3. 1916) He lived on the periphery of sculpture in the 19th century. As a sculptor he was one of the typical representatives of naturalism interwoven with neo-baroque. His unimportant character didn't leave prominent memory. His works meet the anatomical and technical standards, but lack the independent ideas and dramatic tension. Presumably his self-knowledge didn't allow him to compete with „artistical-sculptures". So he remained in the channel of the sculptural decoration. VERÁN, JÓZSEF (? - ?) He was a skilled stone-cutter with a neo-baroque taste. He made applications and simple ornaments. VÖGERL, IGNÁC (1949 - Budapest, 1895) and VÖGERL, ALAJOS (? - ?) Ignác Vögerl was a stone-cutter of average abilities, he followed neo-renaissance taste eclecticism. But Alajos Vögerl was a sculptor stone-cutter with a positively neo-baroque taste. His conception conformed to the demand of the representatives of modern architectural trendes as well. ZIEGELWAGNER, MÁTYÁS (? - about 1885) Ziegelwagner made stiff, positively antique-imitation caryatids and other sculptural decorations with looser composition. He was one of the last figures of the representatives of classic attitude and creation. In contrast with Schaffer's works, the stylized stiffness didn't characterize his works which seemed to be the characteristic feature of antique in the 1870-s.
