The peddler Vlachs selling their pro­duce reached the customers of the Transylvanian villages along this road. In the picmre we can see the clothing of Romanian women and their plait hidden under a shawl as well as the men's black hat decorated with pearls, their sheepskin cap and ornamen­tal leather belt coiled around their waists - these all represent the shepherds' tradi­tional costume. 32.
