HAVAS, E., RÉPÁSI, V, STASZNY, Á, SÁROSPATAKI, M.: Faunistical database of Hungarian Megachile species (Hymenoptera, Apoidea, Megachilidae) Absract: The collecting localities of the Hungarian Megachile species are reported in this paper. Our database contains more than 4000 records, collected from natural history museums in Hungary, private collections, and the available (mostly Hungarian) literature. Twenty-eight species are represented in the database. The first record is from 1877, collected by Sándor Mocsáry. The specimens were identified mostly by the following specialists: Zsolt Józan, László Móczár, Miklós Móczár, Sándor Mocsáry, Jenő Papp and Lajos Tanács. Only specimens with exact collecting data were included in the database. Where necessary, new names of certain villages (nearest to the collecting site) were indicated as well. The scientific names of plants species on which specimens were collected are presented as well. Keywords: Hymenoptera, Megachile, faunistics, natural history museums
