The localities of Pterostichus hungaricus, P. incommodus and P. melas are displayed in a 10x10 km UTM grid. From analyzing map data concluded that P. melas is a common species and was found at a wide variety of habitats. The thermo-xerophilous P. incommodus is very rare, only a few specimens are known from the investigated area. The occurrence of P. hungaricus in the Bakony Mts is still to be confirmed, because the locality data of the few known "voucher specimens" seem to be doubtful. Activity-density data of P. melas are presented at two locations.
