FOLIA MUSEI HISTORICO-NATURALIS BAKONYIENSIS A BAKONYI TERMÉSZETTUDOMÁNYI MÚZEUM KÖZLEMÉNYEI Zirc, 18-1999 (2001); 25-94. A VÖRÖS LÉGIVADÁSZ {PYRRHOSOMA NYMPHULA INTERPOSITA VARGA, 1968) ELŐFORDULÁSI SAJÁTOSSÁGAI A BAKONYVIDÉKEN (INSECTA: ODONATA) TÓTH Sándor Zirc Abstract: Distribution of the Large Red Damselfly (Pyrrhosoma nymphula interposita Varga, 1968) in the Bakony Area (Insecta: Odonata) - The Pyrrhosoma nymphula nymphula (Sulzer, 1776) is a Middle- and South-European damselfly. Outside of its foretype there is two additional subspecies in Europe. The population inhabiting the Carpathian Basin is described as Pyrrhosoma nymphula interposita Varga, 1968. 50 years ago in Hungary it esteemed as a rare species, because there were foundings only in the Börzsöny, Pilis and Kőszegi Mountains. Since that time it reported from all of our mountains, even the hilly area occurences are also not rare. It had collect occasionally in the Hungarian Great Plain, the Hungarian Northwestern Plain and by the side of River Dráva too. There are data on the occurrence of the species from 304 places in Hungary at the moment. The fact that nearly half of the Hungarian occurrences (141 places) are know from the area is demonstrate the well searching status of the Bakony Area. The main habitat in the Bakony Area is the Northern Bakony, where the species is occur in nearly all wetlands suitable for its ecological demand. It found to be quite common in the Southern Bakony too, but the insect is not missing either from the remaining subdistricts of the area. The author presented the phenological characteristics of both the adults and nymphs in his paper on a column graph, based on the whole of hungarian faunistical data. Notes and data on the habit of the nymph, on its conditions of occurrence, the division of habitats based on water typology, on the accompaining dragonfly joints etc. based on the observations taken in the area. The habitat were listed and shortly characterized assorted decent to the subdistricts of the area, and, employing the method of DÉVAI and MISKOLCZI (1987), ranked in the point of view of dragonflies. Bevezetés A vörös légivadász (Pyrrhosoma nymphula Sulzer, 1776) SL szitakötők (Odonata) rendjének egyenlőszárnyúak (Zygoptera) alrendjébe, azon belül pedig a légivadászok (Coenagrionidae) családjának a Pyrrhosoma Charpentier, 1840 nemébe tartozik.
