Summary In the frame of the scientific project „Natural features of the Bakony Mountains" the study of mayflies (Ephemeroptera) and also stoneflies (Plecoptera) continues. During the years 1987 — 1990, from 71 natural waters of the Mountains (including the Lake Balaton) 202 samples were collected. The treatment of the nymphs of both groups began at first, they were totally unknown from the area until now. Occurrence of species of Plecoptera, 3 genera, 16 species of Ephemeroptera proved new to the Bakony Mountains. The number of the known Ephemeroptera species are 32 from 14 genera, the Plecoptera species are 14 from 9 genera recently. The nymph of Amphinemura sulcicollis (Stephens) and the imago of Périodes microcephala (Pictet) are new to Hungary. The occurrence of Caenis robusta Eaton, Cloeon dipterum L., Paraleptophlebia werneri Ulmer, Nemoura cinerea (Retzius), Nemurella picteti (Klapálek) in the Lake Balaton are verified. TÓTH László
