RESUME Borsa Iván, We put out the second excerpt of his source publication called The archives of the Mérey family 1265-1526. From the records of the Mérey family, kept in the National Archives, we can read the oldest ones that refer, without hardly any exception, to the Mérey-estate in Somogy county and the estate attached to it. Now out of the 180 records at our disposal, we put out 52 excerpts of records. This source publication is, most of all, justified by the fact that the data of only a few records - whether the full texts or excerpts - have appeared in print so far. The third part of the source publication will come out in our annals of 1994. Each of the published records was made in the centuries before Mohács. Borsa Iván, He put out the publication called The records of the Somogy Convent during the reign of Wladislav II in the National Archives in excerpts. Earlier Komjáthy Miklós had put out 17 publications in the archival annals called From the past of Somogy county. Through publishing these excerpts the author paid tribute to the memory of his friend and onetime colleague. He followed Komjáthy Miklós’s style of publication with high level professional care. Deák Varga Dénes, Where is the fortress of Kaposvár hiding? is the name of his study, in which he explores the documents of the fortress. The fortress of Kaposvár was built in the middle of the XTVth century, and it gained bigger importance during the Turkish wars in the XVI-XVIIth centuries. It was blown up in 1702, and then, furthermore, its area was built up in the XXth century. The author calls the attention to the documents of the fortress that disappeared without almost any trace and has not archeologically been excavated as yet, which have not been studied. One of the most precious of these is a map made around 1800, which still has the outlines of the fortress and the town of the Turkish age on it. This map matches the engraving made in 1686 about the fortress, which was formerly considered improbable and idealized by the researchers. As a result of the research, with the help of the old maps and engravings efforts have been made to determine the expansion of the fortress and the town of the Turkish age and project it on the present-day map of the town. Szita László, The 1687 campaign against the Turks reflected in war reports. In the past years the author has processed this 1687 European-scale campaign against the Turks in several studies. This time he makes public the war reports of the contemporary Vienna press. From these articles - which have been published in Hungary for the first time - we can read about the tactical operations of the Hapsburg and Turkish armies in the area of Southeast-Transdanubia. The correspondents give accounts about the major war events, the weaponry of the armies, military victories and defeats and the hardships of provision as well. The author has enriched the writing of military history with this study. Bodosi Mihály, 18th century plague epidemics in Transdanubia with particular interest to Somogy. Bodosi Mihály examined the plague epidemics of the 17th-18th centuries with particular attention to the ones in Somogy. He proved that 399
