Tapestry2 - Metamorphoses - temporary exhibition in the Museum of Fine Arts from 18th November 2005 until 8th January 2006 in Budapest. Supplement of this issue: Selection from the awarded contemporary tapestries of exhibition in the Museum of Fine Arts, entitled Metamorphosis 2. - The Art of Woven Tapestry Past and Present. In this issue you can read a summary about the objects and the activity of the competition, which was written by the International Association of Tapestry Weavers. (HAS, Institute of Art). On display are either historical tapestries from the 17th century or the contemporary tapestries in the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest. The eight historical tapestries came from the collections of Mobilier National Paris and Museum of Applied Arts Budapest. This report was written by Ildikó Dobrdnyi, the president of Association of the Hungarian Tapestry Artists.
