Museums by Night 21 September 2002 Seven museums of Budapest offer special programs from 10 AM until midnight. They are the Hungarian National Museum, the Hungarian Natural History Museum, the Millenary Park, the Palace of Art, the Museum of Ethnography, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Police Museum. Badacsony - József Egry's House Balaton as Tears of the Nature A renewed permanent exhibition was opened in the memorial house of József Egry, the painter of the Balaton. Tel: 00-36-87-431-044 Blaskovich Museum - Tápiószele A new tenporary exhibition was opened on the 50th anniversary of the Blaskovics Museum. It can be visited until 2003. MUSEUMSAND COLLECTIONS Doll Museum Szentendre, Rákóczi u. 1. The Ferenczy Museum in Szentendre inherited a private collection of dolls. Mrs Julia Tészabó, the specialist catalogised Mrs. Maria Kovács’s collection, while the Ferenczy Museum organised the new permanent exhibition of it in the House of Folk Art. CONSERVATION RESTORATION Save as... Temporary exhibition from the Digitalised Photoarchive of the Cultural Heritage Protection Office Budapest, Táncsics M. u. 1. 13 September - 12 October 2002 On display is the result of a new project of the Photoarchive - the digital process of the archive of our historical monuments. Special workshop and programs will be organised for the specialists during the opening time of the exhibition. Curators: Ibolya Cs. Plank and András Ágh. INTERNATIONAL CONNECTIONS Convention of the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats Strassbourg, European Council Workshop 23-24 May 2002 You can read a summary about the programs of working groups written by Mihály Nagy (Ministry of the Hungarian Cultural Heritage) about the history of the convention and the main tasks and activities in the future - from the point of view of the museums and heritage protection office, as the special places concerning the preservation of the cultural heritage.
