BENYIK GYÖRGY A történeti Jézus-kutatás és bibliakutatás az Egyesült Államokban - A Jesus Seminar Újszövetség hátterének kutatásában, és bizonyos szempontból — főleg John J. CoHins munkássága kapcsán — a bibliai hermeneutika posztmodern szemléletének meghaladásában is. A XXI. században viszont újra kell definiálná az észak-amerikai biblikus kutatás fogalmát. Ugyanis számos esetben — nem a szerző professzorok nemzeti hovatartozása, hanem a munkahely vagy a kiadók miatt — a kiadói stratégia néha kötelező szemléletmódot erőltet az angol nyelven publikálókra. Ez azért nagy nyomás, mert az olvasóközönség mennyiségi létének nagysága miatt szinte csak az számít mértékadó kutatónak, aki angolul publikál. Az amerikai publikációs dömping figyelemmel kisérése pusztán olvasással lehetetlen. Az újabb mternetkeresők (Biblegatway) és a nemzetközi szervezetek (SNTS, SBL stb.) segítenek a tájékozódásban, az interneten létrejött viták pedig igen hamar korrigálják az amerikai biblikum vadhajtásait.
