FOLIA THEOLOGICA ET CANONICA (2022) 241-259 Kuminetz, Géza (ed.) lustitia duce, caritate comite - Válogatott tanulmányok Erdő Péter bíboros, prímás-érsek 70. születésnapjára [Selected studies for the 70th birthday of Cardinal Péter Erdő, Primate-Archbishop], Szent István Társulat, Budapest, 2022, pp. 648 Turning seventy is always a milestone for all those who are active in the world of science. It is the age at which scientists look back on the work - or the wealth of achievements - that has been made so far in their scientific careers and which will be significant for the future. It is also an occasion for the scientific world to pay tribute to the celebrated scientist, whether as colleagues, members of his intellectual community, or as disciples (if you like, as representatives of the new generations of scientists who have grown up thanks to the academic work of the celebrated scientist). Two volumes were published in Budapest in 2022 by the Saint Stephan Society in honor of Card. Péter Erdő, Primate, Full Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, for his scientific, educational, instruction organizational and research activities; episcopal, pastoral and also for his active work in several dicasteries of the Holy See. The first volume expressed the appreciation of the international canon law and canon history scholarly community (i.e. Sacrorum canonum scientia: radici, tradizioni, prospettive. Studi in onore dei Cardinale Péter Erdő per il suo 70° compleanno, Budapest 2022); the second volume - the one to be presented briefly here - entitled Justice as a Guide, Love as a Companion - is a Hungarian-language tribute by the Hungarian scholarly community to a worldrenowned expert and developer of the sacred sciences. The Hungarian festive volume is in fact structured according to the motto of four of the five faculties of Pázmány Péter Catholic University (PPCU), i.e. Faculty of Theology: Sacra Theologia', Faculty of Law and Political Science: Istum Aequum Salutare', Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences: Scientia et Fidelitate', Institute of Canon Law “ad instar facultatis”: Sacri Canones. It is complemented by an essay on the activities of the Saint Stephen Academy of Sciences (Budapest, Hungary). The chapters on each of the faculties of the PPCU include mainly articles by the faculty members of the respective faculty, supplemented by articles by other authors whose academic work in their particular field is significant in their own country (i.e. Hungary), and which thematically correspond to the chapter.
