118 ALBERTO SORIA JIMENEZ, OSB and liturgical importance, which may not have yet received the attention it deserves. In order to obtain my qualification as Doctor in canon law at Universidad de S. Dámaso (Madrid) I based my thesis on the above mentioned document, and most of the time I focused on research the same, under the direction of Prof. Roberto Serres. The thesis itself was published shortly afterwards.2 The nearly 150 pages (pp. 401-540), which are solely dedicated to the sources and the bibliography generated up until the date of publishing, show how great an impact that canonical document had on everyone. On this important anniversary it would seem fitting to come back to this matter. My intention is to draw attention once more to its content, and in particular to the nucleus of the theological, liturgical and canonical issues, which have found a balanced, fair and reasonable solution in SP, such as they had never received before.
