SACRA THEOLOGIA - Szabolcs Anzelm Szuromi, O.Praem.. Encyclical letter «Laudato si’» as ‘constitution’ on responsibility of global sustainability

ENCYCLICAL LETTER «LAUDATO ST» AS ‘CONSTITUTION’ ON RESPONSIBILITY... 59 ledge that by so doing we were not faithful to the treasures of wisdom which we have been called to protect and preserve. Cultural limitations in different eras often affected the perception of these ethical and spiritual treasures, yet by constantly returning to their sources, religions will be better equipped to respond to today’s needs.” The Holy Father in the final chapter - Chapter Six - returns to the theological approach of the current conditions of the Created World, the fundamental goal of global sustainability, combining them with the indispensable role of the proper education. Ecological education and spirituality is the motto of this analysis, making remarks to the new lifestyle (Arts. 203-208); suggesting education for the covenant between humanity and the environment (Arts. 209-215); underlining the necessity of ecological conversion (Arts. 216-221); indicating the importance of such values like joy and peace, civic and political love (Arts. 222- 232); calling our attention to the relevance of the sacramental signs the Eucharistic celebration (Arts. 233-237).
