It clarifies also the married parties’ serious reasonability toward each other and also toward their children, moreover that particular family life-form which springs from the sacrament of marriage, fundamentally differs from the secularized society’s concept, and focusing on the eternal life. If these are missing, the contract which comes into existence, does not contain several essential elements, intentional and intellectual conditions which are necessary a real and valid canonical marriage. This is the reason of the high number of matrimonial nullity, and also this is the reason why indispensable the profound preparation before the marriage, to bound into the sacramental internal active life of the Church. The ecclesiastical tribunals’ work not only an administrative process, but an essential responsibility to reveal the real status of those marriages which arrive to the court for right, considered and grounded decision, establishing the truth regarding a particular bond within reasonable time. This book of Lopez de Guerenu from this point of view is using unrivalled form the sacramental, pastoral, psychological, philosophical, sociological, and - naturally - the canonical arguments, including the jurisprudence of the ecclesiastical tribunals. Explaining the so-called brief process - introduced by Pope Francis - the author supports well that during this new form of matrimonial process, the conditions of declaration of the sentence, the canonically trained notaries and the defender of bond give sufficient guarantee to establish the possible nullity if the moral certainty is exist. The above described volume is without doubt effectively transmitting the crystallized teaching of the Church on marriage and family, giving very precise, authentic, constructive and considered answers to several questions which arise in the contemporary secularized society. It can be useful not only for canon lawyers on the day-to-day work at the ecclesiastical tribunal, or theologians and clerics, but also for those who like to understand and follow the identity, mission and example of the Catholic families.
