viz. a higher prevalence of the species M turbidus in "pure" nests lends support to the idea that this species reaches dormouse nest boxes through dormice themselves during the autumn vertical migration mentioned above (Table 5). Unfortunately, there are hardly any data on the flea fauna of dormouse nests in the literature. Dudich (1984) mentions only the occurrence of C .pullatus in a combined nest of Sitta europaea and Glis glis (locality: Cerovo). As stated in the introduction, some data have been obtained from incidental catches of dormice during studies of the flea fauna on small mammals. These sparse data show that C. sciurorum is the species most frequently found on them, and some of the above species occur only exceptionally in our territory. This also agrees with the results reported by Jurik (1957) from his studies on the ectoparasites of Eliomys quercinus (L.) and Glis glis in Czecho-Slovakia. In these studies, C. sciurorum (22.5% and 47.6%), was dominant, followed by C. assimilis (17.5% and 9.5%), M. turbidus (7.5% and 0%, respectively). Other species present included C. bisoctodentatus Kolenati, C. agyrtes, C. solutus and C. gallinae. A fészkek - madároduk - domináns faja a Ceratophyllus sciurorum volt. A fészkek bolhafaunáját nagyrészt madárbolhák és egyéb kisemlősök parazitái adták.
