Type species: Kotlanolepis yorkei (Kotlán, 1923) gen. n., comb. n. The new genus is named in honour of Academician Sándor KOTLÁN on the occasion of the centenary of his birth. Kotlanolepis yorkei (Kotlán, 1923) comb. n. Figs 1-8 and 24-29. Syns.: Dilepis yorkei Kotlán, 1923; Oligorchis yorkei (Kotlán, 1923) Mayhew, 1925; Paradi- lepis yorkei (Kotlán, 1923) Freeman, 1954, Spassky, 1954; Megacirrus yorkei (Kotlán, 1923) Spassky, 1965. Host and locality: Megapodius freycinet affinis (Gaim., 1823) (originally labelled as Megapodius brunneïventris Meyer, 1874); New Guinea, Port Moresby, Friedrich-Wilhelmshäfen," collected"by'L'. BIRÓ in the years 1897- 1899. Habitat: small intestine. Intensity: 14 specimens. Type material: Holotype, whole mount preparation from KOTLÁN (No. 4770/1); Paratypes ; 5 specimens in one slide mounted by KOTLÁN (No. 4770/2), 5 new stained specimens (Nos 4770/3-7) and 3 specimens in formaline; deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest, one paratype (No 4770/3) in the Parasite Collection of the Central Laboratory of Helminthology , Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia.
