Dr. Murai Éva szerk.: Parasitologia Hungarica 12. (Budapest, 1979)

Acknowledgements We thank Dr. Michael D. RICKARD, of the School of Veterinary Science, University of Melbourne, Australia, for kindly sending us cysticerci of Taenia ovis from Australian sheep for comparison. Results and Discussion Larvae of four Taeniidae species were found in wild ungulates from Hungary: Taenia o vis krabbei Verster, 1969; T. hydatigena Pallas, 1766; Multiceps multiceps (Leske, 1780); Echinococcus granulosus (Batsch, 1786). Definitive hosts for these species are primarily stray dogs and foxes. Hungarian data for the adult stages of these worms will be published in a separate communication.
