Material examined: Holotype: Indiana, Newton Co., W Hew Slough, 8 March, 1970, Reithrodontomys megalotis, leg. J. O. WHITAKER (5730). Pseudopygmephorus quadratus (Ewing, 1917) A species described from the USA, but ranging in all probability in the entire Palaearctic or indeed the Holarctic Region; it was rediscovered in the USA only in the material discussed.
