Ph. picta were noted in 16 animals from the Budakeszi forestry and in one animal from Gyarmatpuszta. C. auribarbis larvae have been found in 17 animals from the Budakeszi forestry and 1-1 animal from Gemenc and Gyarmatpuszta. Fallow deer (Dama dama) From the 40 larvae collected from 10 different animals 14 were identified as C. auribarbis and 26 as Ph. picta. Discussion This is probably the first record on the occurrence in the Diptera-fauna of Hungary of the species C.auribarbis Meigen, 1824, and C. stimulator Clark, 1815, further the larvae of Ph. picta Meigen, 1824. There was a single report on the incidence of Ph . picta imagoes from Hungary (THALHAMMER, 1899). SZUHYOGHY (1964) gives reference to the infestation of home red deer by these parasites but no data on the species involved are presented. There are reference to the occurrence of C. rufibarbis (= C_. auribarbis ) and Ph.picta in red deer (KERTÉSZ, 1897; SZUHYOGHY, 187
