Ceratophyllidae Megabothris turbidus (Rothschild) Host: Sorex araneus, 2 November: 1 # Host: Apodemus agrárius, 1 November: 19; 2 November: 1 9 Host: Apodemus flavicollis, 2 November: 1 <?, 14 9 Host: Clethrionomys glareolus, 2 November: 1 9 It is remarkable that this flea species, adapted to habitats of high humidity, occurred in a relatively great number and on several hosts, though the collection site could not be regarded as wet . This may be explained by the presence of a definitely wet, reedy and swampy territory (2-3 hectares) some hundreds of meters away from, and slightly lower than, the collecting site. Presumably, the small mammals living there move to higher areas in the late autumn carrying their fleas, too. This presumption is accepted by Mr . GY . TOPÁL from mammalogical point of view.
