Larva of Taenia tenuicollia (Rudolphi, 1819) Intermediate hosts: Microtus arvalis, Pitymys subterraneus, Clethrionomys glareolus. - Localities: Mts. Pilis, N shore of Lake Balaton, Mts. Bakony, Comitat s Zala and Vas, Mts. Sopron, Orgovány. - Localization: liver. - Extensity and intensity: in M. arvalis: 1*2%, 1-20 specimens, P. subterraneus: 10*9%, 1-8 specimens, C. glareolus: 6*4%, 1-13 specimens. Adult T. tenuicollis has been reported from Mustela nivalis in Hungary by MURAI and TENORA (1973a). Description of the larval stage (Cysticercus): the globular to oval larvae, 1-3 mm in diameter imbedded in the liver tissue, mainly at the edges of the lobes and surrounded by connective tissue. Scolex invaginated with four suckers (120-140 u in diameter) and double circle of hooks. Number of hooks 50-5 5- Small hooks 17 yu, large ones 24 /u, characteristic in shape (Pig. IB). Usually 10-20 larvae occurring in a host . This larva is different from those termed by some authors (KOTLÁN and KOBULEJ, 1972; NEMESÉRI and HOLLÓ, 1972; etc.) as Cys ticercus tenuicollis ; this latter being the larval form of Taenia hydatigena Pallas, 1766 occurring in the thoraco-abdominal cavities of various ruminant intermediate host species (TENORA and VANEK, 1969). Larva of Taenia crassiceps (Zeder, 1800) Intermediate hosts: Microtus arvalis, Pitymys subterraneus. Localities: M. arvalis: Bük, Tiszabercel . In P. subterraneus it was reported by TENORA (1967) from Szentgál. Its home incidence is assumably much larger. NECHAY (verbal communication jobserved + The nomenclatural dispute on the species _ T. tenuicol l is was reported by MURAI and TENORA (1973aJ .
