Scolex rounded, separated by a cervical section from the other parts of the strobila. Its diameter approx. 200 u. Suckers 90-110 u. Apical sucker non visible. Testes defining a group ,situated in the second half of the segment filling the full internal parenchyme. Number of testes 90100 per segment, diameter 50-60 yu. Genital pores irregularly alternating and opening at the second fifth of the edges. Cirrus pouch claviform, 220-230 x 60-70 p. Vagina 400-500 u long, arcuate opening into the atrium genitale behind the cirrus. Receptaculum seminis rounded, 70-125 p. in diameter. Vitelline gland compact and lobed, situated beside receptaculum, 240 yu. Ovary lying behind the vitelline gland, filling anterior half of segment, 400-600 p. After fertilization of the eggs, uterus with a median stem and 20-24 lateral branches, occupying the space of the ovary and testes (Figs. 15-16). Mature eggs oval, 40 yu long. Rounded embryo 16-19 p in diameter, embryonal hooks 6 p. This species was not published heretofore from Hungary but it was likely to occur on the basis of the helminth fauna of the neighbouring countries.
