Remarks. - The new species is characterizable mainly by the chaetotaxy of leg II; the "fir-tree"-shaped tarsal hairs and the spinosely incrassate setae of the genu were in this combination heretofore unknown in the related species. Pygmephorus spinosus Kramer, 1877 Examined material: 5 ex.: Minnesota, St.Luis Co. 10 Sept. 1941. Condylura eristata (Linné). (7272); 2 ex. Indiana, Vervillon Co., 14 Jan. 1963. Cryptotis parva (Say). (JOW 1829). MAHUNKA, S.: Pygmephorus-i»]ok (Acari, Tarsonemida) északamerikai kisemlősökről Északamerikai kisemlősökről gyűjtött atkaanyag vizsgálatakor 6, a Pygmephorus Kramer, 1877 nembe tartozó faj került elő. Közülük 5 a tudományra nézve is új, 1 korábban már Európából és Ázsiából ismert faj. A 6 faj 8 gazdaállatról került elő, gazdaspecificitás nem volt megállapítható.
