Nematode infestation was obvious and intensive during the warm months and in insects which inhabit the soil, farmyard manure, decaying or rotting organic material - sites where contamination with nematode hosts is more frequent

A szerzők a Carabidae, Scarabaeidae, Tenebrionidae és Histeridae családba tartozó 797 bogár külső és belső vizsgálatát végezték el parazitikus nematodák kimutatása céljából. A talált lárvákból mesterséges táptalajon kitenyésztett aduitusokon végezték el a fajok meghatározását. A bogarak közül 268 (33,6 %) volt nematodákkál fertőzött.
