glottides or slightly deflected to side of tocostoma and terminating behind cirrus sac at genital atrium. Shell gland decurrent slightly obliquely before ovary, measuring approx. 100x35 u. Uterus a sinuous wide tube (diameter reaching 90 yu), occupying full width of internal parenchyme of mature segment, and terminating in a large uterus sac Bituated in fore-quarter of segment right and left from midline, irregularly alternating and measuring 530-1200 x 250-500 n. Matured eggs appearing through tocostoma (Pig. 5) situated in anterior quarter of ventral surface of segment. The tocostoma oval or almond-shaped, its longer diameter 62-99 yu. Vitellary glands forming a homogenous layer in cortical parenchyme, several hundreds per segment (Pig. 4). Eggs oval, provided with an operculum, measuring 50-52x33-37 yu. Eggs with embryos in different stages of development, depending on temperature. Majority of eggs laid at an early stage of segmentation. At higher temperature, some eggs with developed larvae possessing hooks at the time of oviposition. Description of Bothriocephalus phoxini Molnár, 1968, on the basis of topotypical material (Hot-water Lake Tapolca) from Phoxinus phoxinus A small-sized bothriocephalid . Maximum length 45 mm, width 1.4 mm . Scolex oval in dorsoventral position (Pig. 8), cordiform in lateral position (Fig. 7). Length 400-500 u, width 320-400 yu, thickness 280-360 u. Diameter of the two bothridia 240-360 yu, depth 100 yu. Scolex four-fifths as wide as thick (Fig. 9). In neck region and in young hermaphroditic segments width of segment always exceeding its length, mature segments with eggs eventually square, in some cases proportion of width and length reaching 4:5. Secondary segmentation not found (Fig. 10).
