Dr. István MATSKÁSI Zoological Department of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest The paper contains the description of two Trematode spe­cies, collected from the common shrew /Sorex araneus/ in Hungary. The species Nephrotrema truncatum /Leuckart, 1842/ has not yet been published from Hungary. The common shrew is a new host for Apophallus muehlingi /Jägerskjöld 1899/. In the course of the helminthological examination of our home small mammals, two Trematode species hitherto unrecorded from small mammals in Hungary were found. One of them, Nephrotrema truncatum is new for Hungary, the other, Apophallus muehlingi , was already known from fish-eating birds and mammals /EDELÉNYI, 1962; KOTLÁN, 1961/.
