Echinostoma revolutum is a cosmopolitan species, a parasite of reptiles, birds and mammals. In Hungary it has been found by EDELÉNYI in the appendix and small intestine of ducks (Anas platyrhyncha) , and SEY in the intestine of the muskrat(Ondatra zibethica). The hamster (Cricetus cricetus) is a new host for the parasite. KOTLÁN (1961) lists this fluke under the name - Euparyphium suinum . Ciurea, 1921 from the pig (in the Transdanubia). SEY (1965) lists from the Mêles mêles.
