a kórokozó kimutatása nélkül nem jogosít fel a kórjelzésre. Ezért a diagnosztikai munka során a fő hangsúlyt a toxoplasma!: kimutatására helyezték. Erre a célra pedig az. egyéb vizsgáló eljárásoknál lényegesen érzékenyebb, egyszerű, gyors és specifikus immunfluoreszcens módszert találták a legalkalmasabbnak. The diangostic value of the complement fixation test and of the direct immunofluorescent test was examined on rabbits suffering from various stages of naturally acquired toxoplasmosis and on laboratory animals infected experimentally with toxoplasmas. The complement fixation test proved valuable as a confirmatory diagnostic test, but the authors consider that without the demonstration of the causative agent a positive complement fixation test alone cannot provide a conclusive diagnosis. Therefore, the demonstration of toxoplasmae was attempted. The immunofluorescent test proved simple, rapid, specific and more sensitive for the demonstration of the causative organism than any other method. (Central Veterinary Inst., Budapest XIV. A szerző a tapolcai-malomtóból származó fürgecsellék (Phoxinus phoxinus) belében egy eddig Ismeretlen Bothriocephalus-fajt talált, melyet B. phoxini néven Ir le. Ezt a galandféregfajt az emiitett helyen kivül egyéb vizekből, ill. egyéb halfajokból nem sikerült kimutatni. A 45 mm hosszúságot, és 1,4 mm szélességet elérő, izelttestü galandféreg speciális gazdakörén és endémikus előfordulásán kivül morfológiai bélyegekben is különbözik az eddig ismert Bothriocephalus-fajóktól. A szintén pontyfélékben élő, és kórokozó mivoltánál fogva igen jelentős B. gowkongensis től kisebb méretei, és a skolexnek a nyaki rész izei szélességéhez viszonyított aránya alapján különíthető el.
